30 years
This week I turned 30 surrounded by good company. I haven’t taken time off in a few months and wanted to get some good R&R in before the start of the hectic holiday season. We celebrated friendsgiving with our friends at the Posada with great food and a Peanut Butter Falcon movie night. We always love having coffee and matcha in the morning in the kitchen with friends and good conversation.
We headed out early the next morning for breakfast at 5 Points and then to Phoenix for the day to meet up with our friends Robert and Christina. We always have the best time hanging with them and it was great to catch up. After we headed to Flagstaff to see Ryan Bingham at the Orpheum Theater. Neither of us have been around snow recently and we were definitely very unprepared for the weather.
On Friday, we originally planned to head to Sedona for the day since neither of have ever been but decided to change plans last minute and head to Holbrook to check out the Wigwam motel. I have seen so many photos of this historic landmark but it was even better than I imagined in person. The vintage cars, motel, and surrounding area truly feel like a time capsule to a different time. We could have easily spent the whole day hanging out here and if you have never been I can’t recommend it enough.
Tonight were back home, and I am feeling very grateful for a short but amazing trip and all of the love my wife and friends showed me over the last few days. Looking forward to JD McPherson next month and another trip in the new year!
